Configuring the batch scanner
Note: In order to import products from your batch scanner into Readysell 8, you must set the batch scanner to "Batch" mode.
Identifying what COM port your scanner is installed on
In Windows:
- Navigate to the Control Panel. This is usually accessed by clicking the Start button.
- In the Control Panel, click Performance and Maintenance, then Administrative Tools.
- Click Computer Management. The Computer Management screen displays.
- Click Device Manager in the left side of the screen.
Click Ports (COM & LPT).
Your batch scanner should appear in the list. Make a note of the COM port it is using (this will be the letters "COM" followed by a number).
Setting up the batch scanner in Readysell
In the Navigation panel, go to Administration, then Advanced.
Click System Types.
- Select Stock.
- In the References section, click BATCH-SCAN-COM-PORT.
In the Value field, enter the COM port that your scanner is using (from the previous section).
Click Save.
