Retail POS Device setup

This section covers the setup of Printers, Scanners, and other sections of the application to ensure that functions work as expected. Each change needs to be saved to take effect.

Printer

The Printers user within the Application. The Sub sections are:

  • A4 Printers: Used for A4 Form report in the Application

  • Docket Printer: The receipt printer used with the program

    • Device: The name of the receipt printer in windows

    • Type: The model of the receipt printer used

  • Label Printer: The Label printer used for the Product and Shelf labels for Products

Scanners

This Barcode Scanners the workstation is using for scanning barcodes. The Barcode Scanners must be set into COM or Virtual COM mode to be used in Readysell. The modes which are most use are:

  • General: Set for using in most of the Modules in the Retail POS which includes sales and products

  • Batch Scanning: Set for Batch Scanners in Stocktake module

Displays

Display is for the Pole Display which would need to be set as a Windows Printer

Other

The Other contains options to which can be applied in Retails POS The option are:

  • Touch Screen Enabled: Provoke the option to using the touchscreen option in Retail POS.

  • Open Till on Card Transactions: The Cash draw on Card Transactions

  • Show Daily Sales Summary: Show the Daily Sales Summary at the bottom of the Application.

  • Use Text Based Receipts: Using non Graphics receipt in Readysell.

  • Enable Qty Popup After Manual Product Entry on Touch Screen mode:

  • Enable IFS SmatFreight: invoking IFS integration with the Retail POS See more here

  • Refresh All data: Reset and Download all Data from Scratch from the Server. This is used as last option for the sync the POS. This takes a long time depend on the amount of data needing to be synced.

  • Submit integrity Report:

Connection

Connection refers to the Readysell POS listener use for multiple Retail POS setups. The PS will need to be configured with Static IP addresses for each Retail POS and The Listener Port should be unique to the store and Applied to the Firewall as a rule on each PC.

The POS Listener Option is the Primary POS (which is the most High Specs PCs to handle the load fo transmitting Dtata to the Server and the other PCS.)

Primary POS connection is for secondary Retail POS PCs. The IP address of the Primary need to be applied to section below. The primary POS doesn’t need this filed in.
