Correcting stock on hand value when you can't reverse the original transactions

Overview

Products may from time to time have an incorrect stock value on hand. The value on hand is calculated by adding up the value on hand of all product movements for the product that still have a balance.

You have to stock adjust out all the stock for the product, correct the current cost for the product on the primary product supplier, then stock adjust all the stock back into stock on hand.

Procedure

Adjusting incorrect stock levels using a stock quantity adjustment
