Understanding automatic assignment of machine ID

Assignment of machine id works as follows:

• Each time you click new on machine, a new machineid should be used.

• The next number is saved in the document number file right away.

• The reason why this has to happen is that the system has to be ready in case another person creates a machine.

• If you close the new machine window, that machine id will be lost,

The things you can do include:

• You can change the machineid of any new machine and make it be the id number you want,

• You can change the next machinid in document numbers to reset the last number used if you do not use a number
