Substitute a Kit with Its Kit Components

Overview

Kit Products are products that are non-stock controlled products. The kit products stand for an assembly of other products that make up the kit known as Components.

When a Kit Product is sold the stock of all the components that make up the kit are reduced and when you receive a kit product the stock that makes up the kit product is increased.

Please note

Before selling a kit item you will need to add the components to the kit item Creating a new Kit/Bundle

Procedure

  1. In the Navigation panel, go to Sales then Orders
  2. Click on button New in the ribbon. (If your screen is small, you may need to click on Create then New.)

  3. The New Sale Order screen displays.

  4. Add the relevant information like the Customer, Order Number.

  5. Enter the Kit Product and click Save

     Show me

  6. Click the Substitute then Substitute with Kit Components

     Show me

  7. Select the Component/s and click OK

     Show me

  8. Click Save to update the sale value of the sale.
