Linking and unlinking a sales order to a service order and service orders to sales order

Overview

You can link a sales order to an existing service order and the other way around as well.

  1. Log onto Readysell>Sales>Order>New

  2. Insert a sales order for a customer with all the details on the header and on the lines.

  3. There maybe already be an existing service order or create a new service order for the same customer same machine-id.
    You can link the sales order to the service order and visa versa by clicking on the action button in the top ribbon ‘Link Service Order’ if you are in the sales module or ‘Link Sales order’ if you are in the service module.
    If you are linking from Sales orders to service orders and there is no service order for that customer, then the Link Service order action button will not be visible.
    Same applies if you are linking from service order back to sales order.
    The linked transaction is stored on a field called ‘Sale Order Link’ in the service module on the list view and ‘Service order link’ in the sales module.

     

  4. The select service order window will appear for only service orders for that customer

    Highlight one of the service orders and click on OK

  5. Works the same way from when you are in Service Orders and you wish to link the service order back to the Sales order

  1. Within either the Sales or Service order list view, filter on the field of ‘Service order link’ or ‘Sales order Link’ depending which module you are in
    Highlight the transaction that you wish to unlink that has a linked transaction number and click on ‘Unlink Sales order’ or ‘Unlink Service order’ based upon which module you are in.

     

     

     

  2. The link will be broken between the two transactions.
