Allocate by Age button (Payment allocations)

The Allocate by Age button lets you allocate a payment to items within a particular time period. This button is available for both customers and suppliers.

The example below shows how to allocate payments by age for a customer:

1. In the navigation panel, go to Relationships thenCustomer Transactions.
2. Click Payments.
3. Enter details for the customer payment.
4. Click Finalise and Allocate.
   The allocation window displays, showing all the customer open items that are outstanding for payment.
5. Click Allocate by Age, and select the period from which you want to allocate open items. The following periods are available:
   • Current
   • 30 days
   • 60 days
   • 90 days
   • 120 days
   • Forward
6. Readysell allocates the payment to the transactions for the period you selected.
