Overview of common buttons

This table provides you with a quick overview of some of the most important buttons within Readysell.

ButtonWhat it doesVideo
Cancel ButtonCancels a open transaction. If a sale order has been partly shipped, but the customer does not want the rest of the order, use the cancel button to end the sale order. You can' delete the order as it has shipments, but you can cancel it and stop any more deliveries.
Complete Button Finishes every aspect of the transaction including any steps that have to happen as separate transactions. This button only displays for transactions that require additional steps to process. For example sales orders, sale shipments, purchase orders and purchase receipts all require further transactions such as invoices to be processed in order to complete the set of transactions. If you click the complete button on a sale order, a sale shipment is created and posted just like the order had been picked, a sale invoice is created and posted to update your financials and the sale order is flagged as posted. The complete created and processed two additional transactions that were required to finish the sale. Posted those transactions then posted the sale itself.
Copy Button  Creates a copy of the current record. If you have a range of pens in different colours, just use the new button to create the first pen. Then use the copy button to copy the pen and change the colour on each copy. That way you can put many products on range by only changing the differences between the products instead of having to type each one in one product at a time.

Delete button (ribbon level)

Delete button (line level)

Deletes the highlighted item. The Delete button in the ribbon will delete the record you are working on (for example, click Delete when the sale order tab is blue to delete that order); the Delete button shown custom above lists such as sale order lines will delete all of the lines you currently have highlighted (selected).
Export To Button  Exports outputs rows from a list view to Excel or other formats. Highlight the lines you want to export, for example press CTRL and "A" to select all lines in a list. Then click on the arrow below the export button to export the list to Excel. When you consider that you can add subtotals and totals to most lists, the export button replaces the need for most reports.
FinaliseFinishes the current transaction. If the current transaction is a sale shipment or purchase receipt finalising the transaction will result in stock changing. But you will need to invoice the transaction separately. If you want to complete and invoice the transaction in one step, see the complete button discussed above.
NewCreates a new record. This is the button you will need to use first and most often in Readysell. If you click on the New button on the ribbon, then a new record for whichever tab is currently highlighted in blue will be created. You can create new records without being on the right tab by clicking the arrow below the new button and selecting the type of new record you would like to create. If the card list view has it's tab header highlighted in blue and you click New, a new card will be created. If products is the list currently highlighted then a new product will be created. If you click the arrow below the new button you can create any kind of record you like.
Notes ButtonAllows you to enter notes against a record or line item. Just about anything can have a note attached to it. Just find the thing you want to add a note to. Then click on the Note button to add a new note. Notes can be flagged to display on sales, purchase orders etc. in addition to just being a note about the record
ReverseReverses the current transaction. If you reverse a sale shipment on the day it was created and you have batch email to customers turned on, the invoice will never be emailed to the customer. This gives you a chance to enter the shipment again and invoice it. So the corrected invoice is the only one that goes to the customer.
Send ButtonThe send button is the fastest manual way to print or email a record. Send button appears on different modules there are three options (Email (background), Email (prompt) and Print). Email (background) sends the email. Email (Prompt) a send email box appears for you to edit/ review the email that will be sent out. Print give you the option to print it out.
Show In Report or Show Source In Report ButtonShows you a list of reports available. Select the report you want and a preview of the report will display for the records you currently have selected in the list view.
Show Related Button  Shows you a list of items related to the current record. For example, you can use this button to view the customer, sale invoice and sale order for a shipment.
