Activating Alert/Action Rules

With the ever-growing list of Readysell alerts (or action rules), you will be notified instantly when a particular event occurs so you can follow up in a timely manner. A few notable alerts are:

when a service order line is received. This alert can be sent to technicians to indicate that service parts have arrived for service scheduling purposes.
ServiceOrder Due AlertsService Order - DueEnable to receive alert via pop-up and/or email when a service order is due.  
Machine Nearing End DateMachine - Near End DateEnable to receive alert via pop-up and/or email when there is a machine nearing end date.  
New Catalogue Catalogue Enable to receive alert via pop-up and/or email when a new catalogue is received. 
Contract Nearing End DateContractCreates action items for the contracts you need to work on based on how many days till the contracts are closing

First step - set the task Create Action Items to have a parameter set for the number of days that the action rule needs to alert you before

Second step - Set up the Action Rules

Third step - you can manually run the task to create the action items.  View the action items, check your emails.

The steps to turn on the alert are as follows:

  1. From the Navigation panel, click Administration then Action Rules
  2. Select the required alert from the list panel e.g. Service Order Line Status Received
  3. Check the Enabled box

  4. Select the required Role or User (note: these fields are mutually exclusive)

  5. Optionally, key in CC and BCC Address by entering the CC or BCC email address or you can use a template Variables in the fields
