Warehousing Overview

The key features of warehousing include:

  • All stock is scanned in and scanned out
  • Internal stock movements are handled by scanning and mobile devices
  • Warehousing relies on proper warehouse stock locations and zones from the start
  • Bar coded location labels on all bins enable use of mobile wireless devices greatly improving warehouse efficiency
  • Receipting is scan checked in with back order stock put aside into a back order area rather than being put on shelves
  • Stock put way is handled by mobile wireless devices
  • Stock picking is handled by mobile wireless devices
  • Stock is replenished from bulk locations to fast pick retail or technician's truck's as locations using mobile wireless devices
  • Freight integration is used to optimize freight speed and charges

*Consider making a separate site for education stock and sales

Consider creating multiple sites if you have more than one warehouse or if you handle a lot of education stock.

*You Must Get The Location And Warehouse Layout Right Before You Start. Plan and implement your warehouse location layout

Plan the sites, zones and locations for your warehouse.  Then enter all the sites, zones and locations into Readysell before you start using the system

*Setup retail locations as quarantine if you have a retail area in the same site as your warehouse stock

Consider setting your retail location/s to a supply type of quarantine if you have retail and warehouse areas in the same building

Adjusting incorrect stock levels using a stock quantity adjustment  

Start stock adjustments list view from the inventory navigation panel. Click on new, enter a product to be adjusted and a reason for adjustment, then Finalize the stock quantity adjustment
