Tips on implementing automatic warehousing

  • This is a high risk feature to implement
  • You need to get this started as soon as you have good stock on hand numbers
  • Please view the training video and review the training guide material on automatic purchasing in the warehouse training guide:
  • Key tips:
    • Don't try to do it without Readysell's help
    • Warn your team that they may need to stay back/start early for the first few days
    • Contract Readysell right way if things seem to be going wrong
    • Make sure your sales order entry team.  Especially any members that tend to stress a lot.  Know they can still use the pick button if they have to and know about releasing web orders
  • Budget on say five hours training. Say:
    • One hour for Readysell to setup automatic warehousing to run the way you want without actually turning it on:
      • Normally we limit deliveries to 2 per customer and only release orders when the supply rate is around 60 percent.
      • We can set automatic warehousing to unlimited shipments and to release stock as soon as any is available.  But you need to work hard initially to stop yourself being swamped by the number of shipments produced
    • One hour on the first afternoon you turn automatic warehousing on
      • Automatic warehousing will not release web orders until you change the workflow status of the order to ready.  You need to get a web order to flow in so we can train you on this
    • An hour or two each day for the first few days to help you keep under control
