Turning your emails into marketing tools

Overview

Add images with links to your marketing messages to all your emails.  Every email you send out is a marketing opportunity.

Procedure

Go to batch email defaults and select the email default to be targeted.  Lets say sales invoices

Add an image to your Email, this will be the image the users are to click on in order to link through to your marketing message.  To add the image, click on the add image button.

Now you have the image in your email default.  Find a web page to link to the image.  I am going to use a tax time flyer from the website of a dealer.

In my case the link I need is "http://v3au.zone-secure.net/drive/4999/333987/?transferring_store_name=11903#page=1"

Now add that hyperlink to your email default

Now click on the html tab, then cut the image html code out and paste it in to the web page link instead of the text which is currently displayed on the screen

The email default should still show the image, but the hyper link should not be visable.  Now send yourself an email using the email default and click on the link to test it out.  If you like the result, cut and paste your test to other email defaults.  If you put the marketing message in your "none" email default, the message will go out on all emails that do not specifically have a email default override.

That's it!  Now all your emails contain embedded marketing message.  Be sure to refresh you message at least on a monthly basis.  While a current message is great, a out of date message on your emails looks lazy and tired.
