Styles - the Colour and Size Matrix

Styles - the Colour and Size Matrix

The colour and size matrix for Styles can be used for not only clothing but for other stock as well.

For clothing, you can set up the colours and sizes for the products

For other items, you can set up colours and maybe use the sizes as the size or type of the product (like the colour: blue and size medium

Steps:

  1. Set up the colours>Navigation>Colours

  2. Set up the sizes

  3. Set up the Master style product (one at a time)

  4. Add the child products (existing or non-existing)

You are able to set up the system types to auto-select the category and unit code for the style products. But this will mean that it is for every style and child product you set up.

The best practice is to ignore these system types altogether - leave the values for them empty in the system types and instead set up the Style master product to how you want the actual child products to be set up.

If you are wanting to preset the category and unit for EVERY STYLE PRODUCT YOU CREATE - see below:

  1. System Type : Product : GENERATED-PRODUCT-CATEGORY [for Auto generated products]

  2. System Type : Product : GENERATED-PRODUCT-UNIT-CODE [for Auto generated products]

  3. Administration : Colours

  4. Administration : Sizes
