Applying quantities to contracts
Overview
There are a number of ways in which quantities can apply to contacts:
- Contracts can prevent a customer buying any quantity of a product at all
- Contracts can apply only when a customer buys a minimum quantity of a product
- Contacts can suggest or force a minimum quantity of a product onto a sale
Preventing customers from buying a product
- Use the 'replace' contact price type to replace one product with another
Setting a minimum quantity before a contract applies
- Use the minimum quantity on the contract price line to set a minimum quantity before the contract applies
- Use the combined minimum quantities on the contract settings to require a combination of mixed group of products to reach a minimum quantity (or value) before the contract applies.
Optional or required addition of a product to a sale
- Use the minimum quantity (Optional) or minimum quantity (Required) contract price types to either suggest or force a product to be added to a sale
