Removing/Hiding Office Brands Products from the web

FOR AN OFFICE BRANDS PRODUCT THAT IS A CURRENT ACTIVE OR OBSOLETED PRODUCT ON THE WEB...

Navigation Panel > Inventory > Products

Search for and select the product

On tab Settings the Display On Website checkbox/tick box SHOULD NOT BE TICKED on an Office Brands product regardless of whether you wanted it on the web or not.

Do not change that status on the product to what you want it to be just yet (if you are wanting to change it).

  1. Click on the button Office Brands, select the option of Hide/Unhide on WebX

  3. Make sure the tick box is off for both options

  4.  

  5. Click on the button OK

  6. You then get a pop-up window that says Status updated

  8. Click on the button OK

  9. Then you need to hit the Save button on the product

  10. You will definitely have to wait overnight for the removal of the product as it has to sync at the Office Brands web end.

  11. Then after you finish with the above process in Readysell (without waiting overnight - but it is preferable to wait just in case there is an issue at the web end) make the Status on the product to be whatever you want it to be, and on tab Settings, turn on the flag to Ignore Status so that the Office Brands data doesn't override your product status in Readysell.

TASK

NOTE:

If you unhide a product that is obsoleted by Office Brands and the task Office Brands Product Sync, parameter LastRunProductObsoleteSync if set to True

  • DON'T HAVE STOCK ON HAND OF THAT PRODUCT - the task will rehide the product from the web when the task next runs.

  • DO HAVE STOCK ON HAND OF THAT PRODUCT - It only keeps it on the web for as long as you have stock on hand.  The task will pull the product off the web when you don't have stock on hand of that product.

so...If you don't want the products pulled from the web when there is no stock on hand...

Set the parameter LastRunProductObsoleteSync to have a value of False and hit Save.

This will stop this part of the task from running and the products will stay on the web regardless of stock on hand.

HOW TO SET THE TASK

Navigation Panel > Administration > Advanced > Tasks

Search for and find task: Office Brands Product Sync

Select it and then go to the right-hand side and click on tab Parameters

Look for: EnableProductObsoleteSync:

Set the value to True if you are wanting to use the function of Hide/Unhide of Office Brands products. Click on the button Save.

Look for: LastRunProductObsoleteSync

This is the last date and time it ran. If this is empty, you should manually run this task of Office Brands Product Sync

If you do not want to wait for the task to run, click on the button Run Task Now and run it manually right now yourself.
