Setting up loyalty points on an existing customer/s
NOTES:
Process this in Test first to make sure you are getting the results you are after. Only after you run it in Test and are happy with the results do we recommend that you then process this in your Readysell live system.
Steps 1 & 2 should only ever be done once and never again. Steps 3, 4 & 5 only need to be repeated for any additional customers.
You must speak to Readysell for the second time you need to run this to avoid any mistakes that could cost you for Readysell to fix them.
STEP 1 - Bulk update run to turn all customers off for loyalty
Run a bulk update run to disable loyalty for all customers (if you do not wish all customers to have loyalty turned on, just certain customers)
This step should only be done once ever!
To turn all customers off for loyalty…
Navigation panel > Bulk Maintenance > Bulk Update Runs
click on button New
Key in the name Update all cards to disable loyalty
click on button Extract
Bulk Update Run Set - use the drop down, if the Run Set called Disable Card Loyalty does not exist to select, click on button New (if the run set already exists skip steps a - c and select the run set instead)
Make your run set look like this
Click on button Save and Close
Click on button OK for the bulk update run to run
Review the results (you will see both customers and suppliers in the list, this is okay)
Click on button Post
This will now update ALL of your cards with the loyalty points to be disabled
STEP 2 - Turn on Loyalty for those customer cards you want it on for
Navigation panel > Relationships > Cards
Search for and select the customer card you want this on for (repeat steps 2 - 7 for each customer it needs to be turned on for)
click on tab Settings
click on sub tab Customer Settings
click on sub tab Loyalty Points
Set the Loyalty Points Mode to be Default (i.e. default the loyalty points on a sale to what the product says it should be)
Click on button Save
STEP 3 - Set the System Type of Loyalty to be True
Navigation panel > Administration > Advanced > System Types > LOYALTY
Select LOYALTY-POINTS-ACTIVE
Change the value to read as True
click on button Save
STEP 4 - Run the Loyalty Task
Navigation panel > Administration > Tasks > Populate loyalty points
Click on tab Parameters
Set the value for ClearExistingPoints to be True
Set the value for RefreshCards to be True
Set the value for RefreshSaleInvoices to be True
Set the value for StartDate to be the date that the loyalty points are to start from
Click on button Save
Click on button Run Task Now
STEP 5 - Check the results for those customers
Navigation panel > Relationships > Cards
Filter to show existing customers
Add column to the list view for Loyalty Points Mode
Add column to the list view for Loyalty Points Gained
Add column to the list view for Loyalty Points Balance
Add column to the list view for Loyalty Points Redeemed
Make sure Loyalty Points Mode is set to Default for all relevant customers (If all customer’s are to be set to allow loyalty, you can use the Bulk Update Run to update them at once)
Make sure all other Loyalty Points columns for those customers are set to 0
Bulk Update Run if you want to update all customers to be set to allow Loyalty Points
Navigation panel > Bulk Maintenance > Bulk Update Runs
Click on button New
Click on button Extract
Drop down the Bulk Update Run Set selection
Click on button New
Set it to the below:
If you click on Text tab, you can copy and paste using the following, instead of manually setting up the Visual tab [Is Customer] = True And [Status] In ('Active', 'On stop')
Click on button Save and Close
Click on button OK
Review the results on the Lines tab
Delete off any that you do not want to have Loyalty turned on for
If you are happy with the results, click on button Post
It may take a while to post that setting to all of those customer cards but let the system complete the posting of this setting.
