Runs - Delivery Runs
Overview
Delivery runs are used to group together different ways of handling deliveries for a carrier. For example if you do your own deliveries, you may have customers that go on the north run, south run, morning run, overnight run etc. The run field allows you to make a code that can be used to tag each shipment. Carrier tells you who is going to delivery the goods. Run tells you more about how the delivery run is going to be achieved.
Procedure
Delivery runs are a system type used for Delivery Runs for both customers and suppliers. Delivery runs are assigned to the Addresses on the Address tab inside the card. Runs can be setup on an address or on a sale. You can manually specify a run for a sale and/or have it pre-populate from the address.
Once you have your Delivery Runs set up, when in the Deliveries (Navigation, Sales, Deliveries) module you can set up a rule to extract invoices onto delivery runs based on those Delivery Run codes.
- From the Navigation panel
- Open up Administration
- Open up Advanced
- Click on System Types
- Click on system code RUN

There are some defaulted run codes in the system that are there to be used or used as examples as to how to set up your run codes.
