Changing the Number and Date Formatting
Readysell has support for regional number and date formatting. The allows for the application to reflect system-level preferences when displaying this data to users.
Changing the Number Formatting
The common reason for doing this is that you would like negative values to be displayed in a certain way. By default, negative numbers have a minus sign at the start, but you could follow these steps to have negative numbers surrounded by brackets or put the minus sign at the end.
- Click on the "Start" button
- Go to "Control Panel"
- Go to "Clock, Language and Region"
- Click "Change the date, time or number format"
- Ensure the "Format" is set to English (Australia)
- Click "Additional settings"
- Click the "Negative number format" drop down and select the relevant format (see below)
- Click "OK"
- Click "OK" again
- Reboot your PC
Changing the Date Formatting
The common reason for doing this is to "correct" date formats when they are being displayed in US (MM/d/yyyy) format. If dates are not showing in the format you would like, follow these steps:
- Click on the "Start" button
- Go to "Control Panel"
- Go to "Clock, Language and Region"
- Click "Change the date, time or number format"
- Change the "Format" to English (Australia)
- Verify that the "Short date" format reflects what you would like
- Click "OK"
- Reboot your PC
