Changing the Number and Date Formatting

Readysell has support for regional number and date formatting. The allows for the application to reflect system-level preferences when displaying this data to users.

Changing the Number Formatting

The common reason for doing this is that you would like negative values to be displayed in a certain way. By default, negative numbers have a minus sign at the start, but you could follow these steps to have negative numbers surrounded by brackets or put the minus sign at the end.

  1. Click on the "Start" button
  2. Go to "Control Panel"
  3. Go to "Clock, Language and Region"
  4. Click "Change the date, time or number format"
  5. Ensure the "Format" is set to English (Australia)
  6. Click "Additional settings"
  7. Click the "Negative number format" drop down and select the relevant format (see below)
  8. Click "OK"
  9. Click "OK" again
  10. Reboot your PC

The common reason for doing this is to "correct" date formats when they are being displayed in US (MM/d/yyyy) format. If dates are not showing in the format you would like, follow these steps:

  1. Click on the "Start" button
  2. Go to "Control Panel"
  3. Go to "Clock, Language and Region"
  4. Click "Change the date, time or number format"
  5. Change the "Format" to English (Australia)
  6. Verify that the "Short date" format reflects what you would like
  7. Click "OK"
  8. Reboot your PC
