Starting a Readysell onboarding project

At the start of the project, we normally discuss the following:

  • The Readysell Fail Safe Implementation Methodology which ensures each project milestone is signed off by you before Readysell goes live in your business
  • Some initial priorities:
    • I want to get the first data conversion complete asap, so that we can start training next week if convenient.
    • Signing license agreements and related paper work, for confidentiality purposes.
    • Gaining access to your network to convert data into Readysell
    • Installing Readysell on your server and workstations
    • Completing the initial conversion of data to your Readysell system. We repeat the conversion three times as the project progresses. The first conversion is just to aid training by allowing you team to train with the data they are used to:
  • Our next set of priorities
    • I will be automating most of the data conversion for you. I convert all the key information such as sales history from your old system, see What do I get for my data conversion
    • Readysell’s training team and our extensive online onboarding material, such as the  Readysell Youtube channel and our Readysell Training Guide. We will probably run some remote screen to screen training, some on site training and some training at Readysell’s premises.
    • The Readysell Project Engagement Meeting which delivers a shared online written document listing your business as usual requirements
    • The Readysell Training Engagement Meeting which delivers a shared online written document listing you’re team members, their training requirements, progress towards
    • The Readysell Financials Engagement Meeting which delivers a plan for converting your financials to Readysell
    • Agreeing a project plan, as per the Stage 0 Readysell project planning checklist which delivers a one page plan of action showing an indicative go live date, some of the key scheduling that will be used and the major milestones on the road to completing the onboarding project:
    • I would like you to consider using the full automated and wireless warehousing package to track all stock movements from receipt, to internal movements, picking and right to delivery with our warehousing and mobile application capabilities.
    • Other dealers may be available to assist you with the onboarding project. Other dealers running Readysell have extensive knowledge or stationery and Readysell. Visiting other Readysell sites can be of particular value later in the project, after some of the basics have been covered,  around the go live date and during the first few months after go live. Ensuring your business achieves Readysell Best Practice. Showing you how Readysell can help you meet your key business objectives.
