This contacts management document does not actually use the Contacts module in Readysell.
We already have one store successfully using contact management.

For the first time around you will need to run pages 8 – 10 as the recontact dates are not preset in your system.
Please read the below first! Initial Set Up
This will have be done by you (or someone at your store).
You will need to work out which customers are to be contacted that day, and each time you run pages 8 to 10 you are then adding the recontact date so that the report (pages 3-7) knows which customers to list for you the next time you run it on that recontact date.


How to run the daily contact report
From the Readysell Main Menu

Click on Customers

Click on Contact Log

Turn OFF the flag for Show Only Current Contact

Turn ON the flag for Show Only Recontacts For Today
Click on button Print Contact Log

If this Query already exists the select it by left clicking on it and click on Select
If this Query does NOT already exist, follow steps A – K to set it up and run it.

Click on New


Left click on Manual



Highlight the line of query (as shown below) and right click and select copy
CONTLOG:RecontactDate = TODAY()

Right click in the field and select Paste (or alternately use the keys on the keyboard CTRL & V)
Left click on Finish

Left click on Yes

Give the query a name, something like "Today's Contact List" and Left Click on OK

Left click on Sales Person Then Location
Click on Select

Make sure Norma's Call Back List is selected
Click on +OK
How to add a contact date and record the contact made

Open up a Sales Order window leaving the F2 Customer window up.

Key in who the customer is (starting at the top of the contact list. and hit enter or tab so the delivery address details now show.
On tab 2 Updates, click on button Customer Contact Notes

Click on Insert

Key in the Notes about the call
Key in the Next Contact Date
Click on OK

The note is now recorded against the customer Contact Notes area (these notes do not appear anywhere else).

Do whatever is needed to finish off this window
Click on +OK
Key in what the customer wants to order and finalise the Order or Invoice.
