PC Maintenance Package

Readysell has compiled a package of free PC maintenance utilities. To download this package, please go to https://readysell.com.au/download/14468/



Click on "Ninite Installer.exe" to start the download. Save the file to your Readysell shared drive (usually D:) as this is shared, allowing all PCs to access this tool.

Once you have saved the Ninite Installer utility, run the program on required PC by double clicking on the blue "N" icon. Be sure to be logged on the Administrator account.

Below is the list of programs that the Ninite Utility will install or bring up to date. We will split these into three categories.

  1. Programs used in conjunction with Readysell
  2. Commonly used Windows utilities
  3. A number of security programs recommended by Readysell to assist you in keeping your Windows PC running at top performance

Performance

Glary Utilities

This is a Windows performance and maintenance cleaning utility.

  1. Open the program from the desktop by double clicking the "Glary Utilities" icon

  1. Go to the "Status" Tab and click "Check for Updates"
  2. After the update has finished go to "1-Click Maintenance" and select "Scan For Issues"

  1. Once completed all issues will be displayed in RED then select "Repair Problems"


The third tab (Modules) has more advanced repair utilities for power users or Readysell to use.

Security

Malawarebytes' Anti-Malware

This is a spyware and malware removal tool.
1. Open the program from the desktop by double clicking the "Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware" icon
2. Go to the "Update" tab and click on the "Check for Updates" button

  1. Once this is completed go back to the first tab (Scanner) and select "Perform quick scan" and then click the "Scan" button

  1. Once the scan is complete "Objects Infected" will be in Red or you will receive a completed message (No Malicious Items Were Detected)

  1. This completes the scan. Use the removal process if infected items were found.




Microsoft Security Essentials

Microsoft Security Essentials provides real-time protection for your home or small business PC that guards against viruses, spyware, and other malicious software.

This is displayed in the bottom right hand corner of the start bar newt to the time as a green tent.

Spybot - Search & Destroy

This detects and removes spyware and other malicious software from the computer.

  1. Open the program from the desktop by double clicking the "Spybot - Search & Destroy" icon

  1. Click "Update" on the menu on the left. Select all available updates and install.

  1. Click "Immunize". This will show unprotected files

  1. Select the "Immunize" button. This will set all of the sub-items to "Protected"

5. Click "Search & Destory" in the menu on the left 6. Click "Check for problems"
7. When the scan is complete repair all selected items in the problem area highlighted in RED by clicking the "Fix selected problems" button
