Download Danks Invoices and Uploading Danks Orders
Firstly ensure that you have created a Directory from the root directory of the D:Drive. One called DANKSINV and the other DANKSORD.
Secondly make a subdirectory within DANKSINV and call it SAVE and another subdirectory within DANKSINV and call it INVOICES.
Thirdly, check the system reference in system administration.
Type = EDI; Code = DANKS-INVOICE-DIR; Description = D:\DANKSINV\INVOICES\
Type = EDI; Code = DANKS-ORDERS-FILE; Description = D:\DANKSORD\DANKSORD.TXT
Fourthly, create a folder on the desktop and call it DANKS WEB.
Within this folder set up the two bat files one to run "Send Orders to Danks.Bat"; the other "Receive Invoices From Danks Web.Bat". Also set up within this folder another shortcut to log onto the Danks Web – http://www.danks.com.au.
- Log onto the Internet Web Page of www.danks.com.au or Click on Folder Danks Web and within this folder is a shortcut to the danks web
- Then Click on "Members Login" icon
- Enter username and password and then click on "LOGON"
- Then Click on Products on top task bar
- Then Click on Eccomerce
- Then Click on "Dankslink Invoices" under Orders/Search
- Click on "Download File" on "All New Invoices" or whichever Invoices you wish to download
- Click on Save. Always save the file to 'D:DANKSINV" and leave the existing file name
- The file will be in the form of a zip file.
- Once the Download is complete, then click on "Open" to open the file
- Highlight all files within the zip and click on "Extract"
- Double click on D drive
- Double click on the folder DANKSINV as this is where you are to extract the file into (being the same directory as the zip file)
- Then click on "Extract" button
- Once complete, then close out
- Now the batch file needs to be run to process this/these invoices.
- Batch file process would be found in a folder called Danks Web, which is on your desktop.
- Double click this icon (desktop) to open the folder
- Then double click on "Receive Invoices from Danks Web"
- Press enter to continue
- Now you can see the process bar importing the invoices
- Once complete a message will be displayed
- Click on OK to accept to accept the Invoice Process as being complete
- Press enter to continue
- Invoices have now been imported into your system
- Now process your invoice as you would through the Readysell Purchasing Module
CREATING AND SENDING DANKS ORDERS
- Start Purchasing within Readysell
- Click on purchasing from the main menu
- Click on Insert to insert a new purchase order
- Enter the supplier, date, products etc
- Click on OK to accept the purchase order
- Run the batch file from within the folder on your desk top called 'DANKS WEB'
- Process called "Send Orders to Danks Link.bat'" – double click on icon
- Press enter to continue exporting the orders to danks link
- Enter the purchase order no created from Readysell
- Then Click on OK
- Click on OK when order file is complete
- Press any key to continue
- Log onto web site to send the order – www.danks.com.au
- Click on Members Login
- Fill in Username and Password if not already saved
- Then click on LOGON
- Then Click on PRODUCTS icon on top task bar
- Select "Ecommerce"
- Then click on Dansklink Orders in the Orders/Select option
- Click on Browse to find the correct path and filename for the orders
- Search for D:DRIVE; DANKSORD Directory; and DANKSORD.TXT and Click on OPEN to draw the details to the screen
- Then Click on SEND ORDER
You will get a message if the file is sent correctly or you have an error.
Orders now Sent successfully.
Download Danks EPG Disks
- Log onto Danks Web
- Click on Members Login
- Enter Username and Password and click on Log On
- Click on Products
- Click on Ecommerce
- Click on Electronic Product Guide on the top left hand side
- Then click on one of the Downloads which have not yet been downloaded on the right hand side
- Click on Save button and save to desktop
- Drop the arrow and select Desktop
- Find on the Desktop a folder called Readysell and double click
- Then find another folder called Danks Disk Folder and double click to open it.
- Click on Save Button and leave filename as is
- Once download is complete click on Close
- Now return to the Readysell folder which is on your desktop and double click and then open the folder of Danks Disk . There you will see the file you downloaded in a form of a zip file.
- Highlight and double click the zip file
- Click on I Agree
- Highlight (Control C) all the file names and click on Extract button on the top
- Drop the box and find your C: drive
- Then within the C Drive search for a folder called "EPG" and double click
- Make sure that the flag is on for "Overwrite Existing files" and then click on Extract Button
- Once the extract is complete you will be taken back here just exit out.
- Then go back to the Readysell folder on your desktop
- Double click on Danks Disk
- Highlight the zip file you just unpacked and right click
- Select "Rename" and change the word Zip to Done and enter
- Then Yes to overwrite the change
- Click on the Back Icon Button top left to return to readysell folder
- Open it up and Select the Danks EPG_Email.Bat and Double Click
- Follow the Prompts by clicking on Enter
- You will then see a Yellow Dos Widow
- Check to see if the disk is a Master – MST or Change- CNG (C:\EPGTXT\INCNG)
- Now open the Next Document in respect to Loading Danks Emailed Disk Data.
The system will automatically remember the defaults from the previous disk in which you loaded down,to continue just click on <OK>.
Next window will display the "Import Data From Text File" begins to generate and update.
This just updates the price book. There will be no affect of the product file as yet until you run the process to generate price changes and then apply.
Once update is complete just click on <OK> to exit. The Browse Imports window will appear to continue just click on <Close>
Black screen then appears "Copy Danks EPG Disk"
- "Press Any Key To Continue" – Press any key on your keyboard to continue. Once this is complete, you are taken back to browse an Import. Click on OK Close Browse.
Go back to the DOS Prompt.
Press any key to continue
Price Change Module will start up.For Master Danks Disks and Monthly Danks Disks the procedure up to now has been exactly the same. Please proceed with CAUTION on the next step. In the Browse Imports Window choose either the DANKS CHANGES-MASTER DISK ONLY Import or the DANKS MASTER-DANKS MASTER DISKS ONLY depending on which is appropriate.Danks EPG Disks – Selection for Danks Monthly Disks (Browse Imports) Leave Window as is just
Click on <GO> to continueHighlight and double click on option selected
(for a Monthly disk select DANKS CHANGES –

Log on with your Username and Password
"Price Changes Module" screen appears
Make sure this Window is set to Tab {4 Purge then Generate}Danks EPG Disks – Readysell Main MenuEnsure you have a query set up to Select – Supplier Code = "DANKS' or M10. Highlight this query and click on select Click on <NO> for Exit Now screen.Click on <Generate from price book> <Close> the query wizard.
This will delete price changes if there are price changes*Danks EPG Disks – Price Changes* Danks EPG Disks – Purge Existing Orders & Generate From Price Book Click on <OK>
The number of Records generated will be displayed Click on <OK > to Preview the Price Change Report GeneratedBrowse Readysell Queries screen appears
Click on <Close> "Report Price Change Audit" window appears
Highlight Selection and click on <Select>*Danks EPG Disks – Preview of Price Change Report- Optional*Report Preview Looks like this. You can now either Select to <Print> this report or <Close> the preview.
Once you are happy with the report, next procedure is to Print Price Changes.
Danks EPG Disks – Price Change Print Request - Optional
Click on Tab {5 Print Changes}
If you are Danks – recommended retail is the 1st option when u apply
Click on <Status Report> Button (to Print Price Change Status Report).
"Enter A Retail Markup Level window will appear".
Leave the defaults and Click on <OK> to continue.
Click on <OK> Print Preview Window
Danks EPG Disks – Print Query Wizard- Optional
Click and Highlight your selection and then Click on the <Select> button.
Click on <Close> to close the Browse Query Wizard.
Click and Highlight "Price change Status Report Sell" and click on <OK>
Check report against Product FileYou are now able to either <Print> this Report or just <Close> and exit from the Preview.
Danks EPG Disks – Printing Labels
Optional
Click on Button <Labels>Click on <OK>
Click on <OK>Click on <Close> to close Browse Query.Click on <OK> to continue Click on <Close> to exit out.
Highlight and select a Report Design for your Shelf Label and Click on <OK>Report Product Price Stickers Window appears. Highlight sort selection and click on <Select>You are now able to either Preview and check your labels.

N>B> Danks always use "Change Cost and Sell" for Recommended Retail Only.
Highlight and select one of the three selections.
For Recommended Retail Customers Use "change Cost and Sell" For stores using advertised sell prices such as Catalogues and Promotions use "Change Cost and hold Sell".
For stores using Readysell to margin management use "Change Cost and hold sell if sell decreases".
Select on and update will progress. Once update is complete Click on <Close> to close the "Browse Product Price Query". "Browse Product Price Change Request" window appears click on <Close> and <Exit> to return to the Readysell Menu .Click on <NO> to Exit NowBrowse Products Price Changes Windows appears.

STEP 1 – PROMO DANKS
Double click on the Readysell Icon on your desktop
Log onto the Readysell Main Menu & Click on <Imports> module
Browse Imports window appears
There are 3 Steps to following order.
STEP 1 PROMO DANKS – Loads the products to the promotion file
STEP 2 PROMO PRODUCTS DANKS – Adds the non existing products to the product file.
STEP 3 PROMO BARCODES DANKS – Checks the products for barcodes and if there are any without barcodes then it will insert one.
1st Step – Highlight and Double click on "Step 1 Promo Danks"
"Changing an Import" window appears
Notice the Number in the Input File field (i.e. Pool Number). This is a Sequential Number. It is necessary to select the next sequence number so click on the right hand box which will automatically display the next sequence number available.
"Choose a File" window appears
Highlight to select Next Sequence Number (Pool Number). The click on <OK>
Notice Input file name has updated to the next sequence file number as per your selection. Now click on <OK> to accept the selection and continue.
Browse Imports Window re-appears. Highlight "Step 1 Promo" and Double Click.
The "Changing an Import" Window will re-appear.
Check entries in each field and now click on <GO> to continue.
Check that the Prefix Box and Suffix Box are Blank.
Leave the remainder of the Window as is as it will picked up the default from the previous download. Click on <OK> to continue. An "Insert" and "Select" criteria Promotion Box will now appear.
If you have not created a Promotion with a Start and an End date then you must Highlight and click on "Insert a New Promotion Code". Otherwise if you have already Created this Promotion then Highlight and Click on "Select an Existing Promotion". We are now going to "Insert a new promotion code", so click on that selection.
"Browse Promotions" Window appears.
Click on <Insert> to insert the Promotion.
"Adding A Promotion" window appears.
Key in all the relevant information for that Promotion. See next screen print.
Please note Promotion Number; Name; Cost Start Date; Cost End Date; Sell Start Date and Sell End
Date are entered correctly. Cost Start and Sell Start must have the same dates. Cost End and Sell End
Must also have the same dates. "Always Sell at Promotion Price" field can be flagged if required
Otherwise leave it blank. Once you are satisfied that the data is correct, then Click on <OK> to continue.
Browse Promotions will re-appear. Check that the correct Promotion name appears on the
screen.
To continue just click on <Close>
Highlight the new Promotion and Click on <Select> to continue.
"Importing Text File" in Progress window will appear.
Click on <+OK>
Once Complete, Browse Promotions window will appear. Click on <Close>
(Promo Start and End Dates will then be applied once you click on <OK>)
"Changing A Promotion" window appears.
Check all data on this window before clicking <OK>
"Browse Promotions" window appears.
Click on <Close> to exit.
"Changing an Import Window" will appear.
Once you are happy with the data Click on <OK>
Browse Imports window will then appear.
Promotion Step 1 is now Complete.
STEP 2 – PROMO PRODUCTS DANKS
Entering Product and Price Book Import Options
Next is Step 2 of the Promotion.
Highlight and Double Click on "Step 2 Promotion Products Danks".
Check Input File name is the same as it was in Step 1 Promo.
If it isn't, click on the right hand box which will bring up a selection and select the same sequence number as you used in Step 1 promo.
Highlight your selection file name (making sure it is the same as Step 1 Promo.) and then click on <OK>
Check Input File Name has been selected correctly and then click on <OK> to continue.
Browse Imports Window re-appears.
Highlight "Step 2 Promo Products Danks" and Double click.
The "Changing an Import" Window will re-appear.
Check Input File name is correct and then
Click on <GO> to continue.
The "Enter Product and Price Book" window appears.
Check that Prefix Field and Suffix Fields are both Blank.
Tick box "Add new records but do not modify existing records", must be ticked at all times regardless.
Click on <OK> to continue.
Next window will Import Data File.
Report Preview Window will appear.
You can either select to Preview or Print this Report and then Click on <OK> to continue.
Changing an Import Window will then re-appear.
"Changing an Import" window re-appears.
Check the Input File is Correct.
Click on <OK> to exit out back to Browse Imports Window.
Step 2 Promo is now complete.
Next is "Step 3 Promo Barcodes Danks."
STEP 3 PROMO BARCODES DANKS
Highlight and Double Click on "Step 3 – Barcodes Danks"
Check Input File is the Same as Steps 1 and 2.
If it isn't, then click on the Right Hand Box to make your selection as per the following screen prints.
If the Input file is correct then just Click on <OK.>.
Highlight Selection (making sure it is the same File name as Step 1 & Step 2 and click on <OK>.
"Changing an Import" Window will re-appear once you have made your selection.
Once again, check the Input File name
Click on <GO> to continue.
Highlight and Double click on "Step 3 Promo Barcodes Danks".
Check that Prefix and Sufix Fields are blank.
Tick Box "Add new records but do not modify existing records". Leave remainder of window with the Defaults and Click on <OK> to continue.
Importing Data From File Window in Progress.
"Change an Import" window will re-appear once complete.
Once satisfied click on <OK> to accept and Exit out.
Step 3 – Promo Barcodes Danks now complete.
Once again check that the Input File is correct and Click on <Go> to continue.
This will now bring up the Enter Product and Price Book Import Options screen.
SETTING THE IMPORT
Click on <Import>
To activate your promo – return to your import module and double click on
"DANKSPROMOPRD - STEP 1 PROMO DANKS" from the Browse Imports screen.
The "Select A Promotion" screen appears showing the starting and ending dates for the promo.
Highlight the promo and click on <Select>.
Click on <OK>
Click on <OK> again.
Your promo is now set.
DANKS STOCKTAKES
LOADING THE PDE UNIT
Double click on "Getpde.bat"
or "Process Serial pde.bat"
Press Any Key to Continue.
Click on <Close>/<Terminate> to ignore Modem Connection.
Press 2 on your PDE (Portable Data Entry) Unit to "Send" to PC.
Press Enter on your PDE (Portable Data Entry) Unit.
When window has finished scroll through the data, then Hold <<Alt>> Button and <<X>> Button to Exit.
Check Input File Name is correct.
The question "Is this file from the PDE's Order Partition? Y/N" answer NO (N)
Press <<Enter>> to continue.
Press <<Enter>> to continue.
Key in your Username and your Password
Click on <OK>
Highlight and
Double Click on "PDE Stocktake Danks"
"Changing an Import" window appears.
Check the "Input File name"
Click on <GO> to continue.
Check that the "Prefix" Box and the "Sufix" Box is Blank.
Leave everything else with the standard defaults.
Click on <OK> to continue.
Click on <OK> to accept Stocktake Number created.
Click on <Preview>
Click on <OK>
Notice the "OK" on the Report as opposed to the "X" which means the Product Code was not found.
You can either Print this report or just Close and exit out.
When you Close out of the Print Window, you will be prompted with the above window.
Click on <OK> to continue. You will exit out to the Main Readysell Menu.
Double Click on Readysell Icon on your desktop.
Log onto the Readysell Main Menu.
Click on <Product Transactions>
Danks PDE Stocktake Creation is now complete.
MODIFYING THE STOCKTAKE
Click on <Close>
Click on <Stocktakes>
Highlight the Stocktake you have just created
Click on Tab {4 Modify}
Click on <Change location for all lines in stocktake>
Key in the stock location as it should be for the stock you have scanned.
Do not check on box "Make green checkbox value permanent" – leave it clear.
Click on <OK>
Click on <NO>
As you do not want to abort the change.
Process then generates itself.
Browse Stocktakes screen reappears.
Highlight the stocktake
Click on <Change>
You will see that the location will read as the location you previously entered.
You MUST Click on check boxes
Overwrite stock on hand (Checked)
&
Make green check box value permanent.
Browse Stocktakes screen reappears
Click on Tab {5 Apply}
Click on <Apply Stocktake>
Click on <NO>
Highlight and click on "Update stock locations"
Stock Locations are updated
APPLYING THE STOCKTAKE
Click on <Close>
Leave this back screen open so it is accessible for the next stocktake for the next location.
STOCKTAKE REPORT
Select the Readysell Main Menu from your bottom task bar so that it appears on your screen.
Click on <Report Designer>
Highlight "Products – Report Wizard Products"
Click on <Run Report>
Click on <OK>
Leave dates as they are
Click on <OK>
Select either of the options to the left
You MUST select the relevant one for your business
Click on <New>
If this report already exists and you are not running this for the first time, just highlight the report and click on <Select>
Key in the name of the report "Stocktake by Location"
Click on <OK>
<Add> in the fields to the right hand side
Click on the Total box for Value at Cost and Value at Retail.
Click on <Next>
Click on "Define Your Own Custom Sort Order"
Select a sort order of Location by Product
Click on <OK>
Click on <Next>
Click on <OK>
Highlight the report "Stocktake by Location"
Click on <Select>
Click on <Insert>
Highlight "PRODUCT:Location"
Click on <Next>
Highlight "Is Equal To"
Click on <Next>
Key in the Location of the Stock-take you have just completed
Click on <Next>
Click on <Finish>
Click on <Yes> to save this query
This screen will only appear when you are modifying the current query to match that of the location you have just completed
Click on <Yes>
Key in the name of the Query
Click on <OK>
Generating Report screen appears
Report then appears showing you the current status of the Location, Product, Product name, Qty on hand, Value at Cost & Value at Retail.
Print your report as reference to the stock-take you have just created. Once you have printed it, close it down and start again at the beginning of the Danks stock-take document.
STOCKTAKE REPORT BY INDIVIDUAL PRICING
Highlight "Products – Report Wizard Products"
Click on <Run Report>
Click on <OK>
Leave dates as they are
Click on <OK>
Select either from the left
You MUST select the relevant one for your business
Click on <New>
If this report already exists and you are not running this for the first time, just highlight the report and click on <Select>
Key in name of Report
Click on <OK>
<Add> in the fields as above
Click on <Next>
Click on "Define Your Own Custom Sort Order"
Click on <Define Sort Order>
Select a sort of Location by Product
Click on <OK>
Click on <OK>
<Select> the report
Highlight One Location (<Change> it if the location is different)
Click on <Select>
The report appears showing individual pricing.
Print it then continue on with your next stock-take.
