The colour and size matrix for Styles can be used for not only clothing but for other stock as well.

For clothing you can set up the colours and sizes for the products

For other items you can set up colours and maybe use the sizes as the size or type of the product (like colour: blue and size medium

You are able to set up the system types to auto-select the category and unit code for the style products. But this will mean that it is for every style and child product you set up.

Best practice is to ignore these system types altogether - leave the values for them empty in the system types and instead set up the Style master product to how you want the actual child products to be set up.

If you are wanting to preset the category and unit for EVERY STYLE PRODUCT YOU CREATE - see below:

  1. System Type : Product : GENERATED-PRODUCT-CATEGORY [for Auto generated products]

  2. System Type : Product : GENERATED-PRODUCT-UNIT-CODE [for Auto generated products]

  3. Administration : Colours

  4. Administration : Sizes

Style with Colour Size Matrix

  1. Inventory : Styles : New : [Auto generated products]
    * Input Name
    * Auto generated Code or Input manually Code
    * Supplier
    * Default Colours Sizes
    * Save : [System will generate master style and Master Product as archived]
    * Select Colour and Size Matrix
    * Save : [System will generate Colour-Size styles and Products as active]

  2. Inventory : Styles : New : [Use Existing Products]
    * Input Name
    * Auto generated Code or Input manually Code
    * Supplier
    * Product
    * Default Colours Sizes
    * Save : [System will generate master style and set selected Product to archived]
    * Select Colour and Size Matrix
    * Select Product to each Colour-Size
    * Save : [System will generate Colour-Size styles and Link to selected Product]
