Extract Price Levels

Cancel

Discards any changes you have made since the product was   last saved.

This button is only available if you have made a change to   the product.

Delete

Deletes the current product. This cannot be undone.

This lets you view the product list as a flat view or   grouped by category.

Product filter

This lets you view only cards that match particular   criteria:

  •   all products
  •   active products
  •   archived products
  •   available products
  •   discontinued products
  •   obsolete products
  •   web products

View Variants

  • When the "Populate from Price Book" button is clicked, it searches for a matching product in the price book based on a Product.ProductID > PriceBook.ProductID OR Product.ProductID > PriceBook.EzCode - if either matches, skip the price book selection window.
  • When the "Populate from Price Book" window is accepted, check if it will attempt to override any existing fields, if so:
    • Pop up a message box appears- "Do you want to override existing product data from the price book?".

If a product has any related records in Readysell (for example, a product might have a related contract), you can use the Show Related button in the Home ribbon to view these records.

Associated ProductsOpens the Associated Products window, showing information   about all products associated with the selected product.

 
Associated products are usually bar codes for individual products or the   outer boxes the products are shipped in. A unit can be specified for an
 
associated product. Allowing you to specify that the associated product is an   outer bar code. This can be used when receipting, shipping or selling the
 
product.

Price Calculator

Opens the Price Calculator. The price calculator allows   you to see the sell price that will be used for the product in saes. You can   vary the quantity and see what the sell price result will be.  [link to topic].

Price Book Entries

A list of entries for this product in the price book [link   to topic]

Set Date Range

Allows you to set the date range that will be used when   displaying sales history for the product on those screens that limit the   history displayed. Defaults to three months.

Notes

Shows any notes that have been recorded for the current   product. The number of notes is displayed in parentheses.

Show in Report

Lets you run a variety of reports for the current product.

Related

Gives you access to related information about the current   product in other areas of the system.

Refresh

Reloads the current record. If you have made a change to   the product, Readysell will ask you whether you wish to save your changes.

Export

Exports the current record. You can choose from a range of   formats.

Full Screen

Views the current record in a new Readysell window.

Help

Provides contextual help for this screen.

Full Text Search

Allows you to perform a full text search.

Status tab

The fields in this section show information about the product, how it is used, and so on. The fields in this tab are generated by the system and/or derived from information elsewhere in the system.

Description

Overall Rank

These fields are automatically generated, and provide   information about the ranking of the product. A process can run, normally at   night, that recalculates the product ranks.

Quantity Rank

The rank based on quantity sold

Value Rank

The rank based on value sold

Margin Rank

The rank based on margin sold

GP% Now

The gross profit percentage that would be earned by   selling the product at it’s default sell price level.

Date Created

The date that the product was entered into the system.

Original Sell Price

The original sell price for the product, when it was first   entered in the system.

Was Price

This is used to specify the original price of a product,   for situations such as sales. For example, a sales tag might say “was $80,   now $20”. $80 is the Was Price in this case. There is a setting in system   administration to determine how long the old price is retained when sell   prices for the product are changed.

Was Price Date

The date when the Was Price applied. For example, a sales   tag might say “was $80 on 1/1/2014”.

Last Ordered

The last date that the product was ordered through   Readysell.

Last Received

The date that the product was last received.

Last Shipped

The date that the product was last shipped.

Last Cat End

The end data for the last catalogue that included this   product.

Margin Rank Value

The rank based on the total value of margin in the ranking   period

Model

The model name.

Image File Name

The name of the file containing the product image.

This tab contains a single field, which is where you can write a description of the product. If you prefer to work in HTML, or if someone has given you an HTML file, you can use the Design and HTML tabs at the bottom of the screen to switch between formatted and HTML text.

Also displays product category level when displaying product category on the product detail view and on product category lookups.

Replace the current single category field in the price book with six category fields. Being name something like category0,category1 etc.
When loading data into the price book persist all levels of category into the price book entry.
When updating categories from the price book run. Add some code to correctly build the category tree from the root to the leaf node where the category does not currently exist.
