Sales Shipment from Retail (POS) using the PICK button

Overview

Your front retail section is where the stock is located for walk in customers who purchase directly off the shelf.
The retail section usually has one or more cash drawer with linked work stations and eftpos devices.
When a customer walks in, the customer will grab the stock off the shelf and walk over to the front POS to be served and pay for the items.
The customer can either have the sale billed to their account or pay for it then and there.
If you have more than one location eg Retail and Warehouse and your stock is not accurate and you need to ensure that the stock at the time of the sale allocated and splits by location then set the retail POS workstations to not print the picking slip and hit the PICK action button on the shipment before you click on COMPLETE.
The shipment will split the stock by the availability of stock by the locations the stock is actually in.

Zones effect the order in which stock is picked but do not effect stock allocation. See Locations in administration

You need to make sure your POS workstations are not setup to NOT automatically print picking slips. Otherwise you will get a picking slip printed when you hit the pick button.
