Readsell Lite optional project senario I have existing customer and supplier balances moving the balances looks like a big job

Overview

My old program has customer and supplier balances.  I am moving to Readysell Lite and moving the balances over looks like a big job.  So don't move the balances over!

Procedure

Convert to Readysell Lite at a month end.  Print or email your statements out of the old system.

Enter all new customer sales and supplier invoices in the new month into Readysell Lite.

Enter payments received on any invoices before the cut over date into your old system.

Generate all payments for all

Produce two statements at each month end.  One from your old system and one from Readysell Lite.

If you are using bank reconciliations in Readysell Lite.  You need to enter payments to your old system as debtor / payments into your old system and enter the part of the payment that is not for debtors / creditors into Readysell as bank deposits dissected against debtors or creditors.  If debtors or creditors accounts are not available you need to add those accounts to the CBKPAY/CBKDEP transaction type.  Restricting Transaction types from a General Ledger Account

Readysell suggests that you set up another general ledger Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable account to dissect bank deposits and bank payments that relate to open items from your old system.
That way you can isolate the payments and deposits from Readysell data vs your old systems data.

If you are also using general ledger in Readysell Lite.  Your general ledger debtors/creditors balance will not line up with your debtors/creditors open items until you have paid all of the debtors/creditors outstanding in your old system.  The cash book deposits/payments above will be reducing your general ledger debtor/creditor balances from the old system.  When the old system debtors and creditors are paid in full.  Your debtors and creditors trial balances should agree to your general ledger debtors and creditors accounts.
