Price Level | The name of the price level e.g. List, Bulk1, EDU or competitor's sell price. | |||||
Price Level Calculation Method | The way that the price level is calculated. Fixed Sell: uses a fixed price as the base price Current Cost: uses the current cost as the base price None: does not calculate a price level? | |||||
Override Calculation Method | The price level will by default determine if the sell price is fixed sell, markup from cost etc. If you want to change the sell price calculation method for a price level on a product. You can select an override calculation method. The price level will then calculate it’s sell price using the calculation method you specify. Overriding the default price calculation method specified for all products at that that price level.

Price Category | Products can optionally have a price category. Manual price categories do not automatically change sell prices. Automatic price categories override the settings on the product and calculate the sell price for specified price levels. | |||||
Copy Product Prices (button) | Lets you copy prices from an existing product. | |||||
Result Calculation Method | The system may override the price calculation method. For example if a automatic price category has been specified for the product and the current price level is controlled by the price category. If the system decides to override the calculation method. The price calculation method actually being used alway displays in this field. | |||||
Sell Price Break | A quantity break at which the sell price level applies. For example a bulk price level may be setup with a better than normal sell price. But a sell price break of say five is specified. So the customer only gets the better bulk sell price if the customer buys at least a quantity of five of the items as part of the sale. | |||||
Discount Percent | The optional discount percent from another price level. If this is displayed, the discount percentage was specified in the price level. Any price level can be setup as a discount from another price level. For example set up a list price level. Then create a second price level ‘list less 5%. Then specifiy a percentage discount of 5% from list as the automatic sell price of the discounted price level. | |||||
Fixed Unit Price Inc Tax | The unit price at this level, including tax. The tax applied to this product is defined | |||||
Fixed Unit Price Ex Tax | The unit price at this level, excluding tax. | |||||
Markup | The markup applied to the product, expressed as a percentage. | |||||
Gross Profit | The gross profit made on the product, expressed as a percentage. | |||||
Unit Price Inc Tax | The unit price at this level, including tax. | |||||
Unit Price Ex Tax | The unit price at this level, excluding tax. | |||||
Price Category Applied | Flag to indicate whether a price category is applied. | |||||
Price Book Level | By default List = 1, Bulk 1 = 2, Bulk 2 = 3, Bulk 3 = 4, Gov = 5. By having this filled in, when you create a new price book run set the levels will already be defaulted and when you populate a product from price book, it knows which price book price goes into what level. |
