- In the navigation pane, go to Service then Service Orders.
- Click Create, then click New.
- The Service Order detail window will display.
Expand title Show me - Enter details for the service order:
- Type: Change the type to SRVQUO (Service Order Quote)
- Date: The date when the service order was logged. By default this is the current date.
- Customer: Select the customer for whom work is being done.
- Customer Order: If the customer requires a particular order number or has given you a reference number, enter this here.
- Workflow Status: Sets the status of the service order within the workflow. For new service orders, this should be Assigned.
- Service Order Priority: Select the priority of the service order.
- Product: Select the product to be serviced.
- Serial Number: If the product requires a serial number, enter it here.
- Assigned To: Select the technician who will be assigned the job.
- Work Location: Where the product is going to be repaired. This is an optional field.
