How can I fix gross profit figures for list bulk or other sell prices before they are sold and before they cost me money
There are lot of sell price levels and some of them are competitor prices that I don't want to change. How can I fix all of the gross profit errors and all price levels that I care about with just one report?
Low GP list report for all sell price levels
- Select "Reports" then "List Reports" on the Navigation panel
- From the List Reports tab that opens on your screen
- Click on the drop down filter above list reports and select "Custom Reports"
- Click on the "Readysell Store" button. Then click on "Browse Store"
- Download the report "Product Price Level low GP report" from the Readysell store
- When you run the report, there is a column called "Price Code" displayed, the meaning of this code is Price Codes
- Use conditional formatting to highlight, in red for example, the figures that should be fixed. Then click on the Save button to keep those changes for next time
- Use subtotals and totals to help you focus you efforts in particular areas. For example: by category, value sold or value on hand
- Then assign the report to a team member to run regularly on a fixed day of the week or month and give them a target, like fixing so many items every time they run the report
- Adjust your target over time and the data gets more tidy
- Adjust your filter to show a manageable report by increasing or decreasing the high and low GP percentages on the report filter. As you get your data under control, tighten up the criteria in your filter to be more sensitive to smaller errors
- Change the filter on the report to exclude Archived products or price levels you are not interested in. Until you have the report working just the way you need it for your site.
