Checking that you are ready to start training

Project planning complete

You must have completed the following project steps before you start your training:

  • You need to decide on a start and end date for the training element of the project before doing any other work
  • The start date must be after Readysell is installed and equipment is setup
  • It should be around eight weeks between the start date and the go live conversion weekend
  • You also need to decide on a project leader who has time to dedicate to the project each day and to lead the training of your other staff members
  • The project engagement meeting should be completed
  • The financials engagement meeting should be completed
  • The project engagement meeting should be completed
  • The business as usual requirements tab on the shared priorities excel spreadsheet must be filled in
  • You have to have agreed on a day and time for your weekly training review meeting with Readysell
  • You must have an agreed training budget and a training plan
If all the points above are complete, your project planning is okay, you then need to check physical setup as listed below.

Checking setup

Training will not be effective unless Readysell is setup properly to be used with the computers, mobile devices and scanners at your business. Work with your IT Team and the Readysell IT team to ensure you have a server with SD hard drives, the right computer workstations, mobile devices and scanners.

You will need USB/Blue tooth computer headphones and a computer with speakers

You need computer audio in order to listen to the video files in the training guide:

  •  If you don't have any computer head phones in your business, please purchase a set before you start your training!  Readysell can help by supplying headphones for you
    • We suggest you have more than one set of USB headphones in the business
    • You can use any form of computer headphones, USB or blue tooth are fine, as long as you test them and they are working properly before your training session
  • You need at least one computer with speakers. This is to be used whenever a group need to watch a training video at the same time.
  • Make sure you and your staff know how to play the Readysell training videos using computer head phones and a computer with speakers

Reviewing imported data

Once you are confident all your equipment is working as required and Readysell is setup on all your workstations, it is time to check the imported data.  You should record your results on a printed copy of the /wiki/spaces/INT/pages/25624807.  Then email the results back to your Readysell project leader.  If you need help or are unsure about how to check your data, contact the Readysell support team as soon as possible.

Don't cut any corners in respect to your initial review of the imported data.  The training effort and the whole project depends heavily on you getting the initial data review right.

If all the points above are complete, you are ready to start training!
