How to setup product import rules to automatically load flyers

Overview

There are three methods you can use setup automated updates of flyers, the correct method to use will depend on your preference for automation and your adoption of Office Brands flyers.
Best practice is to manually load flyers. There are too many variables to automate the flyer loading process in most cases.

Manual loading

  1. Go to Administration > Product Import Rules

  2. Select the "Flyers (Manual)" rule

  3. Check Enabled
  4. Save your changes
  5. Find the "Catalogues and Flyers" rule
  6. Ensure Enabled is unchecked
  7. Save your changes (if necessary)
  8. Go to Administration > Advanced > Tasks
  9. Find the "Office Brands Product Import" job

  10. Make sure the job is enabled

  11. Run the job to test

Following the above process will disable the automated import of catalogues. To ensure you continue to receive catalogue updates, please either:

Automated loading (all flyers)

  1. Go to Administration > Product Import Rules

  2. Select the "Flyers (Auto)" rule

  3. Check Enabled
  4. Save your changes
  5. Find the "Catalogues and Flyers" rule
  6. Ensure Enabled is unchecked
  7. Save your changes (if necessary)
  8. Go to Administration > Advanced > Tasks
  9. Find the "Office Brands Product Import" job

  10. Make sure the job is enabled

  11. Run the job to test

Following the above process will disable the automated import of catalogues. To ensure you continue to receive catalogue updates, please either:

Automated loading (select flyers)

This process requires that you create one or more customised product import rules. Before you being, ensure you know which flyer code prefixes you will want to automatically load (e.g. ONEOYF to always load Office National Tax Time flyers).

  1. Go to Administration > Product Import Rules

  2. Set up each of your required flyer rules

    1. Select the "Flyers (Auto)" rule

    2. Click the Copy button
    3. Rename to rule to match the flyer set you want it to load (e.g. Office National Tax Time)
    4. Type the prefix of the flyer into the Catalogue Filter field
    5. Check Enabled
    6. Save your changes
  3. Find the "Catalogues and Flyers" rule
  4. Ensure Enabled is unchecked
  5. Save your changes (if necessary)
  6. Go to Administration > Advanced > Tasks
  7. Find the "Office Brands Product Import" job

  8. Make sure the job is enabled

  9. Run the job to test
