Crediting a Sale Invoice from a printed Invoice (A4 or Receipt) short cut

When the customer brings in an invoice with the goods for you to give them a credit

When the customer walks into your store and brings back some goods along with the original invoice/receipt, the invoice/receipt has a barcode on it.

  1. Scan the barcode

  2. This automatically opens the sale invoice window

  3. If the whole invoice is to be credited, click on the button Credit on the top ribbon.

  4. If only 1 or a few lines are to be credited, select which lines are to be credited (if more than one, hold down the Ctrl button on the keyboard and select those lines) and click on the Credit button just above the sale lines (product lines)

  5. This opens a brand new Sale Shipment window adding in those products to the sale with a negative quantity

  6. The values (quantities and $ values) are the same as what they were on the original invoice

  7. Change the Qty to another negative quantity if they are not returning all of those products

  8. Select the Reason For Credit for each sale line (this is through the field "Reason For Credit".  This can be added to the Sale Shipment list window and you can save it as a view variant so that it is there for all future credits)

  9. Click on the button Complete

  10. Select the tender to return it to (if it is not already set to the card)

    1. If you do not know the original tender, click back on the original invoice tab, look at the sub-tab Tenders and you can see what the original invoice was tendered to.

  11. Click on the button OK

  12. 10.  The Adjustment Note will now print as either an A4 page or receipt (depending on your settings and printers)
