Customizing a built in list report

You can't change any of the built in list reports, those list reports with a report id filled in on the first column of the list report list view. To change a built in report you have to copy it first.

From the navigation panel. select reports then list reports

 Show me

Note:

  • that all the list reports that come standard with Readysell have a code in the "Report ID" column. Each code starts with "L" which indicates a list report, then "-[nnn]" which indicates the built in report number
  • any report with no report id is a custom report for your site that is not included as one of Readysell's standard reports

Find the list report you want to run by either:

  • Viewing the list of reports displayed on the list report menu
  • Looking for a report the may suit your requirements in the user guide, see Key List Reports Overview

For this example, I will use list report L-018 Stock report

  • Highlight the report you wish to change
  • Click on the "Copy" button near the top left of the screen
 Show me

A new tab will display showing a copy of the built in (or custom) list report

The name of the copy will start with the word "Copy Of"

Start by removing the "Copy Of" text and add a name that is meaningful to you. Some dealers find adding "My " to the front of all their custom reports is helpful

Then click on the "Save and Close" button to save your new report

There will be a delay while the report runs.

Once the report is displayed on the screen, use all the usual list editing tools such as grouping, group totals, report totals, hiding details to edit your report. Changing a report is covered in the user guide as part of Creating a new list report

Then click on save to save the report
