The 'Cancel' button will cancel the transaction in full that you have commenced entering.

See example below of Cancelling a Sales Order.

1. Click on "Relationships"
2. Click on "Customer Open Items"
3. Click on "Customer Debits"
4. Click on "New"
5. Enter all details 
6. Click on '"Cancel' " if you dont don't wish to fianlise finalise the transaction and you want to cancel it completely.
